Kenit & Glaucoma

Beberapa minggu yang lepas, ada seorang kawan pejabat Meow telah menyelamatkan seekor anak kucing ni..kecik lagi so dia namakan kucing tu KENIT. Bila dah anak kucing tu macam mana atau apa pun warna atau keadaannya tentu la comel dan kita pun cepat kesian kan..cuma si Kenit ni tk berapa bernasib baik. Matanya nampak pelik sangat. besar macam makhluk asing la pulak..

So, kawan Meow ni pun bawak la ke klinik, vet kata matanya kena Glaucoma

Dua-dua mata pulak tu..Bukan manusia je yg kena glaucoma ni..kucing atau anjing pun boleh kena. Kesian Kenit, dah la keseorangan tanpa mak, sakit mata la pulak. Syukurla kawan Meow ni yg jumpa so dia jaga Kenit, bagi makan, manjakan dan selalu cuci mata Kenit. Namun, keadaan matanya makin lama makin besar..

Mulanya doktor kasi ubat dan dlm masa seminggu dua lihat perkembangannya..mana tahu boleh susut ke apa kan..tapi doktor pun ckp, glucoma Kenit ni dah serius. cara terbaik buang je mata dia tu dan jahit balik. So kira dah tentu Kenit ni akan buta la nanti..Tapi kalau tk buat macam tu nanti kalau terjadi jangkitan kuman lagi la parah..

Walaupun sakit macam tu, Kenit tetap aktif, makan pun kuat tapi Meow pun paham mesti Kenit menanggung kesakitan yang amat sangat..sebab tu bila dilepaskan dr sangkarnya, dia berlari sana sini. Agaknya tak tertanggung sakitnya tu..Walaupun dalam keadaan yg tk nampak dia masih boleh bergerak, dah pasti la haiwan ciptaan Allah ni ada cara sendiri untuk menyesuaikan diri kan..

Apapun, makin hari mata Kenit makin besar. Satu hari, sebelah mata Kenit dah pecah..meleleh cecair dr matanya. Kesian Kenit...Meow yang dengar cerita kawan ni pun rasa simpati sangat. Dia pun buntu sebab tk tahu macam mana..nk terus bela, dia pun bekerja sepenuh masa, anak2 pulak akan sambung belajar ke kolej, Kenit mesti la kena penjagaan yg rapi disebabkan keadaan matanya tu tetapi tak ada siapa yang boleh lakukan.

Minggu lepas, keadaan Kenit makin teruk. Kenit pun asyik tidur saja..bila bawak ke klinik lagi doktor cakap glaucoma Kenit dah serius sangat, harapan untuk sembuh amat tipis dan Kenit pun mungkin tk dapat hidup lama. Rasanya mungkin itu lebih baik untuk Kenit daripada menanggung kesakitan lebih lama.

Akhirnya Sabtu lepas, Kenit pergi jua. Kehilangan Kenit memang diratapi dan ditangisi keluarga kawan Meow. Meow yang mendengar pun mengalir airmata walaupun tk pernah berjumpa Kenit secara peribadi. Kami redha dengan pemergiannya kerana kehidupan abadinya lebih terjamin. Aman lah Kenit disana, kami akan tetap merinduimu.
